Yesterday I was just browsing and stumbled, via Payvand Iran News, on this essay. Although it at first confused me, it really has a great philosophical meaning.

The other day I found a roach in our kitchen and another in the garage. This wasn’t the first time that these unwanted insects had found their way into our home. I am personally not bothered much by a few little bugs that crawl under the garage door or through a small rip in the window screen to come in searching for whatever it is they are after. My wife, however, does not feel the same way about these uninvited guests.

Pakistan, the last few weeks, starting on the 26th of July, has been the victim of some horrifying events. The floods, who have not only victimized an estimated 2,000 people, completely destroyed the Pakistani economy; leaving the Pakistani with no other option to request financial aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Despite popular beliefs that the IMF is there to recover the country’s economy, America, who has always had a geopolitical interest in Pakistan, might, now, finally be able to fight Al-Qaeda on Pakistani soil and can expand their influence in the region.
